One link for every release. Each fan taps it and lands on your track in the app they already listen in.
Paste your Spotify link and we find your track or album wherever we can. The rest, you add with one paste.
Every button opens the platform's own app, signed in and ready to play your track.
Fans on an iPhone see Apple Music first, and anyone who has tapped before sees the platform they chose last time on top.
Fans can play 30 seconds of your track before they choose where to listen.
Detailed analytics others charge for, free forever for all of your links.
Running ads to a playlist? Give fans one link that opens it on Spotify with your featured track already playing.
Fans hear the track you chose first, and the playlist keeps playing after it.
Run the same playlist on Apple Music or YouTube Music? Add those links, and every fan finds it.
You get a page at soundmango.com/@yourname with every smartlink you make, newest first. Put it in your Instagram or TikTok bio, and it stays up to date by itself.
Free forever, for artists and curators, with every stat kept.
A smartlink is one shareable link for a track, album, or playlist that opens it for each fan on the streaming platform they use. You'll also hear it called a fan link, music link, song link, or pivot link. A fan taps it and lands on a short page with the artwork and a button per platform: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and so on. One more tap, and the music is playing in their own app.
Artists and playlist curators put smartlinks anywhere a link goes: social bios, posts and stories, ads, newsletters, press write-ups, and QR codes on posters.
Behind the link sits a landing page that holds your release's address on every platform. Most tools build it from a single link: you paste the release from one platform, and the tool looks for the same release on the others, using the codes your distributor attached to it (an ISRC for a track, a UPC for an album).
Check those matches before you share the link. Remasters, clean versions, and re-releases often carry their own codes, so a tool lands on the wrong version now and then. Some platforms also take a few days to list a new release, which means a link or two gets added after release day.
Social apps open links in their own built-in browser, where a fan is signed in to nothing. A good smartlink hands them over to the real streaming app, signed in and ready to play or save your track.
Because your fans listen in different places. Spotify is the biggest service, with 31.4% of the world's paying music subscribers at the end of 2025, followed by Tencent Music at 13.8%, Apple Music at 12.6%, YouTube Music at 12.4%, and Amazon Music at 8.5%, according to MIDiA Research. Share only a Spotify link, and a fan who pays for Apple Music has to go and search for you by hand. Plenty of them won't.
Here's what you get from one link:
Use one whenever your music is out and you're talking to people whose streaming app you don't know. That covers most of a release:
A direct link is better when you already know where the person listens, since a smartlink adds one tap. Skip it in these cases:
A pre-save is a fan asking to have an unreleased track or album added to their library the moment it comes out. It's streaming's version of a pre-order, and it costs the fan nothing. There are three common ways to offer one:
Pre-saves bring real listening. Spotify says nearly 60% of people who pre-save an album stream it in the first week, and that artists who publish a Countdown Page at least 7 days before release see nearly twice as many pre-saves.
Nobody outside Spotify knows how much. Spotify publishes no formula tying saves to its playlists, and most of the claims you'll read come from companies selling pre-save tools. Spotify does say that Release Radar draws on the artists a listener follows and the ones they listen to, so a follow is the part of a pre-save you can count on.
A pre-save signs fans up before a release comes out, and a smartlink sends fans to listen once it has. They work at different moments and ask different things of the fan.
Some tools combine the two: a pre-save page that turns into a smartlink on release day, so you share one address throughout. A pre-order is a third thing altogether, where the fan pays in advance for a download or a physical record.
Every release needs a smartlink, and a pre-save earns its place once you have fans ready to wait for your music. With a small audience, start with the smartlink: a stranger is unlikely to log in and approve access for a track they can't hear yet. Here's how the two fit into one release:
A smartlink is for one release, and a link in bio page is for you: it lists your music, and often your shows and shop as well. Use both. Your bio holds the page that lists everything, and each post about a new track points to that track's smartlink, so a fan reaches the music in the fewest taps.
No. Once a fan taps a platform, they're in that platform's normal app, and each play counts like any other. The only cost is the one extra tap on the way there.
Start with the numbers that change what you do next:
Smartlink stats count views and clicks. Streams and saves live on the platforms, so hold a jump in clicks up against the same days in Spotify for Artists and Apple Music for Artists.
Plenty of tools have a free plan, and the limits are where they differ. Check these before you start sharing links:
Some tools also add retargeting pixels and fan email capture, which are worth having if you run ads at a scale where the extra data pays for itself.
Soundmango smartlinks are free forever, for artists and curators: as many as you like, every feature, and no ads on your fan pages. Paste a Spotify link to a track, album, or playlist, and we look for your release on Apple Music, YouTube Music, YouTube, Deezer, and TIDAL. You paste the rest, Amazon Music included.
Every button opens the platform's own app, and fans can play a 30-second preview first. You keep your stats for as long as the link exists, and fan pages load no third-party analytics or ad trackers. You also get a bio page at soundmango.com/@ followed by your handle, with all of your smartlinks on it, newest first.
Ours start from a Spotify link, so they're for music that's already out. For a pre-save, use a Countdown Page, an Apple Music pre-add, or your distributor's tool, then create your free smartlink on release day.
