SubmitHub vs Soundmango
On SubmitHub you buy credits and pay each curator you pick one to four of them for a listen and a reply. By SubmitHub's own numbers about 30% of submissions are approved, and a no costs the same as a yes.
On Soundmango you pay one price, once, and your track only reaches curators whose playlists fit. If no curator takes on your campaign, you get every cent back.

Spotify's rules on paying for playlists
Spotify's user guidelines don't allow accepting any compensation, financial or otherwise, to influence the content included on a playlist. On SubmitHub your credit goes to the curator for listening to your track and replying, whether they approve it or decline it. SubmitHub's own position is that curators share tracks because they like them, and that paying them extra for sharing would be against Spotify's terms. That is paying for consideration. A track a curator never hears can't land on their playlist, so paying for the pitch is paying to influence what can.
On Soundmango you never pay for a pitch or a listen. You pay for promotion and the curator's feedback on your track. Curators decide for themselves whether to add your track, and approved tracks have an estimated 99% chance of landing on at least one playlist.
What SubmitHub costs, and what happens to your money
SubmitHub sells credits from $1 each, down to $0.78 each in bigger bundles, and each curator asks for one to four credits per submission. Their packages run from 120 credits, about $96, for 10 to 15 playlist pitches, up to 550 credits, about $428, for 40 to 60. The credit is spent once the curator replies, yes or no, and it comes back only when the curator misses SubmitHub's rules for a premium submission. SubmitHub's terms say deposited funds may not be cashed out or refunded, and purchased credits expire twelve months after you buy them.
At SubmitHub's average approval rate of about 30%, 40 to 60 pitches come back with roughly 12 to 18 approvals and 28 to 42 paid declines.
On Soundmango there are no credits and no packages. You choose your criteria and a duration, see the price before you pay, and pay once. If your track doesn't pass our review, no playlist fits it, or no curator takes on your campaign, you get every cent back. If a curator takes it on and doesn't deliver, we find a replacement at no extra cost, or refund you for what wasn't delivered.
How curators get chosen
SubmitHub gives you a list of curators. You browse it, pick the ones you think fit your track, and send it to each one, with every pick paid in credits. SubmitHub's guide to low approval rates puts the average at around 30% across all genres and submissions, and warns that tags pointing curators in the wrong direction make them open a track expecting something else.
On Soundmango you tell us what kind of playlist you want: the genres and a minimum follower count. Your track only reaches curators whose playlists fit, and when one passes, we bring it to the next.
What you get for your money
A premium credit on SubmitHub gets you a listen of at least 60 seconds, a reply within 72 hours, and either an approval or at least 20 words on why the track wasn't a fit, or 180 seconds of listening in place of the words. SubmitHub's own FAQ says there are no guarantees of streams or placements. After an approval, how long your track stays is up to the curator, and SubmitHub's help pages note that curators rotate tracks to keep their playlists fresh.
On Soundmango a campaign gets you the curator's ratings of your track and a promotional post about it on our partner site, under the curator's name. Soundmango can't make a curator add your track either. Curators always decide for themselves, and approved tracks have an estimated 99% chance of landing on at least one playlist.

What you're paid for, and what it means for your playlist
Spotify's user guidelines don't allow accepting any compensation, financial or otherwise, to influence the content included on a playlist. On SubmitHub the credit pays you for listening to a premium submission and replying, whether you approve or decline, and nothing for the placement. That is being paid for consideration. SubmitHub's own line is that curators share tracks because they like them.
On Soundmango nobody pays you to listen or to add. You earn from a completed campaign, your ratings and a promotional post, and adding the track is your call alone, so money never decides what lands on your playlist.
How you earn
On SubmitHub you choose a price of one to four credits per submission, and you earn from each premium submission you reply to. SubmitHub's public pages don't say what share of each credit reaches you, or how curator payouts work. At their average approval rate of about 30%, around 70% of the tracks you reply to are ones you decline.
On Soundmango you see what a campaign pays before you take it on, and no curator earns until the campaign is complete. Your earnings are paid out automatically every month.
What is asked of you
SubmitHub's quality score sets the pace. You gain points by replying to 90% of submissions within 48 hours, averaging more than 90 seconds of listening per track, and sharing approved tracks within five days, and you lose points when your share rate drops under 1% or rises over 50%. Each premium submission needs at least 60 seconds of listening, a reply within 72 hours, and 20 words on a decline, or the credit goes back to the artist.
On Soundmango only campaigns that fit your playlist reach you, and we review every track before you hear it. A campaign takes a few minutes: you rate the track from 1 to 5 stars on a few parameters, then press Publish on the post we've drafted. Once you accept a campaign, you deliver it within its duration.

Stay with SubmitHub if
- You enjoy listening to a lot of new tracks and replying to each one.
- You also run a blog or a social channel and want submissions for it in the same place.
