What a playlist deep link is

A playlist deep link does both jobs at once. It opens on your track, and once your track ends the playlist carries on. Under the hood it's an ordinary Spotify track link with the playlist tacked on the end:

If you share a normal track link, it just plays your track on its own. If you share a normal playlist link, people land at the top, 40 tracks above yours. A deep playlist link takes people directly to your track on a specific playlist, and keeps playing the playlist after your track.

How to make one

    Copy your track link

    In Spotify, hit the three dots next to your track, then Share, then Copy link.

    Copy the playlist link

    Same again from the playlist's menu. Pick a public playlist that your track is on.

    Paste both and copy

    You get a link you can copy and use wherever you like.

What it's good for

Streams for your other tracks
Make a playlist of your own, and share a deep link to your track on it. When your track ends, your other tracks keep playing, in the order you chose. A plain track link makes you miss out on those free extra streams.
Showing off the playlist you landed on
Your track made it onto a big one? Send a link that plays it inside that playlist, so everyone who opens it sees whose playlist the music is coming from.
Thanking the curator
Everyone who opens your link is listening on the curator's playlist. Curators remember the artists who bring listeners along, and are more likely to work with them in the future.
